Attractively positioned above a mill pond and nestled within the surrounding woodland this outstanding apartment is a perfect little retreat. From the rear of the property there are views to the Pennines where the flat plateau of Cross Fell dominates the horizon creating an ever-changing backdrop. 

The converted 17th century barn has been totally modernised to a high standard with an excellent level of presentation and attention to detail. With underfloor heating and a wood burner, you will struggle to find somewhere cosier. Use it as a base for exploring the Lake District or close the blinds, and nestle down with a book or a movie. There is also a fully equipped kitchen giving you the flexibility to cook ever takes your fancy.

  • Please be aware that this is a working estate with general construction/ woodworking taking place  
  • 1 basket of firewood and kindling is provided  
  • Phone signal can be patchy, depending on provider  
  • Host has 3 dogs which you may come into contact with

  • Maps and walking guides for the Lake District are provided, as well as walks from the door on quiet footpaths

  • Paddleboards are available for hire   

Absolutely amazing stay at the barn. It has everything you could need for a perfect little getaway. The barn is cosy and beautifully decorated. The surroundings are beautiful and the location is great as a base for exploring the lakes. Can’t fault it, I would recommend it to anyone! Thank you so much
